Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Booking deposit

A booking deposit is required to secure your reservation:

  • £200 for an exclusive weekend booking of two nights.

  • £250 for an exclusive booking of more than two nights.

Your booking is not confirmed until we have received the required deposit and issued confirmation.

If your booking is made within eight weeks of your arrival date, the full cost of your stay must be paid when booking.

2. Balance payment

The remaining balance must be paid no later than eight weeks before your arrival date.

If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled. In these circumstances, the booking deposit will not normally be refunded.

3. Cancellations and changes

Booking deposits and other payments are non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer law.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. At our discretion, we may allow the value of your booking to be transferred to an alternative available date.

Where a transfer is agreed:

  • The replacement date is subject to availability.

  • The rearranged stay must take place within six months of the original arrival date.

  • A booking may normally be transferred only once.

  • Any increase in the price of the replacement booking must be paid by the guest.

  • If the replacement stay costs less, the difference will not normally be refunded.

In exceptional circumstances, we may agree to issue a full or partial refund. Any such refund is entirely at the discretion of Barefoot and Bower and will take account of the circumstances, costs already incurred and our ability to rebook the dates.

4. Weather

Camping is an outdoor activity, and guests should come prepared for changing weather conditions.

Poor weather, including rain, wind or cold conditions, will not normally be accepted as a reason for cancelling, transferring or refunding a booking.

If Barefoot and Bower decides that the site cannot safely open or that a stay cannot proceed, we will contact you to discuss transferring the booking or providing an appropriate refund.

5. Events and group bookings

If you are holding an event or group gathering at the site, we may require an additional refundable damage deposit. This will normally start at £250, although the amount may be increased depending on the nature and size of the event.

The amount will be confirmed before the event. The deposit will be returned after departure, provided that:

  • No damage has been caused to the site, facilities or equipment.

  • No additional cleaning is required beyond normal use.

  • All waste and belongings have been removed.

  • The event has complied with the agreed site rules and booking arrangements.

We reserve the right to deduct the reasonable cost of repairing damage, replacing missing items, undertaking additional cleaning or dealing with other losses caused during the stay. We will provide details of any deductions made.

6. Acceptance of these terms

By paying the booking deposit or full booking amount, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of everyone included in your booking.
